GOD’S WORK, OUR YOUNG HANDS NEEDED!!!  Sunday, September 11 marks the 15th anniversary of the tragic terrorist attacks in our nation.  Many first responders, police, fire rescuers risked or gave their lives in saving thousands of lives on 9/11/01.  So, this year on that day, we honor their sacrifice and the sacrifice and service of those who serve and protect in our own communities.  Children, youth, parents, grandparents: we need your help writing and making cards of appreciation for our local first responders (police, fire, etc).  After 9:00 AM worship at St. John’s, we will be sharing a breakfast (10:00 AM) with our local heroes and their families in the St. John’s fellowship hall, then assembling and making the cards.  We need Jr. and Sr. High students and parents to help assist our younger children in writing the cards.  We want you to be as creative as you can be.  After we are finished, the cards will accompany bulk care packages that will go to the local stations and departments.  All are welcome to 9:00 AM worship, 10:00 AM breakfast and to help with the cards, care packages, or to help with the breakfast.  Thank you in advance for your help!!!
