At this month’s council meeting, the expenditure for new carpeting in the 3 offices, hallway, stairs and entire narthex area was approved.  The floor in the north and south entry way will also be redone. (a donor has already volunteered to cover the cost of part of this.) It is estimated that the cost will be approximately $13,000.
A carpet fund is being established to assist with the cost. Your financial assistance is appreciated to help with the completion of this project. If you would like to contribute to this project, please indicate ‘carpet’ on the memo line of your check. You can place it in the offering plate on Sunday or send it to the office.
 I think many would agree that replacing the carpet is needed. And while the ‘building’ is not the church – the people are – it is a hospitality issue.  I know you all take pride in the way the church building looks – and it behooves us all to make sure the building is as inviting as possible!!  Thank you all for your support…
