“WELCA on the Road” at Heritage Health in Walnut on September 20th was attended by 10 ladies from Immanuel and one guest.

Mission Action Sewing ladies will be meeting on Wednesdays, October 12th and October 26th at 8:30 a.m.  Please join m at 8:30 a.m. until noon or part of the morning.  It is a time of fellowship in preparing quilts and lap robes for those in need and much appreciated.

Next combined ce meeting will be on October 18th at 9:00 a.m. with Mary Circle, hostess.  Interim Vicki Sauter will present the Bible study “When God Forgives the Guilty”.  This study is the parable of the workers in the vineyard which poses challenging questions about forgiveness, justice and privilege as we struggle with our place in line.  All women of Immanuel are members of WELCA and encouraged to attend.
 

Looking Ahead – World Community Day of CWU is Friday November 4, 2016.  12:30 p.m. dessert, program to follow at Rock Falls United Methodist Church.  Ingathering of socks and underwear for pre-K through 5th grade.  There is a laundry basket in Narthex for collection.
