Much of the ministry that Grace Place is involved in and passionate about revolves around food. Each week I interact with students on the corner of Lucinda Ave. and Normal Road passing out sack lunches generously donated by First Lutheran Church in DeKalb. I interact with students each Tuesday evening as we gather at Grace Place to share in a home cooked meal provided by a local congregation and then as we gather around the Lord’s table in worship. I even had the privilege of sharing meals with students involved in the Hungry Huskies program put on by the Inclusive Collective.
