Notes from the Treasurer, Bill Wescott….

It has been said that “Jesus and his disciples shared a common treasury, to which they contributed their income and the donations to others.  This treasury was used to meet the needs of the group and also provide supportfor preaching, gifts to the poor, and meet obligations that arose.”

As it was in the beginning it remains the same today.  Here at Immanuel through our gifts, we take care of our church and its properties, support preaching both locally and in the Synod, we help others through our benevolence giving and step in to help those in need when possible.

Recently following the Annual Congregational meeting, there were several incorrect tabulations noted on the budget documents.  At our recent Council meeting, those were brought to light and corrections made.  I want to share them with you to provide transparency.

The following changes should be noted as follows:

INCOME PROJECTIONS:  Total Projected Income 2020  $240,119.00

TOTAL BUDGET COST:  $230,093.00

We have received additional monies for the Organ repair, as well as, $1,395.00 in the roof fund envelopes.  Praise be to God!
