“Look, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,”which means, “God is with us.”  Matthew 1:23

Advent is a time of expectant waiting and is celebrated the four Sundays and weeks prior to Christmas Day.  Advent means ‘Coming’ in Latin, and throughout

Advent we await fully celebrating the coming of Jesus into the world. We wait expectantly while clinging to the knowing that God has walked among us in Jesus. God who could have come in power and strength, chose to come vulnerably, as a baby. Emmanuel, God is with us!  God who is present in the midst of all of life–in our belief and unbelief.

I hope and pray that this Advent and Christmas will be filled with a sense of wonder at a God who loves infinitely and comes to us humbly in the form of a baby born in Bethlehem.  You are beloved of God!

As I have mentioned before, I hope to share time with all of you over the coming weeks, months and years!  I hope to make several home visits each month, visiting with any family who welcomes me to do so.  If there is a convenient time for me to come by or meet up with you at a local eatery, please let me know.
