Tri Church hosted the November 14th Lutheran Social Services of IL (LSSI) staff appreciation luncheon at St. John’s. About 50 staff enjoyed some home cooking and handmade thank you cards, a project of God’s Work Our Hands Sunday. Thanks to all who prepared food, helped serve and clean-up. This is the second year Tri Church has hosted this event for LSSI staff; we appreciate their hands doing God’s work daily.
On February 1, 2019 at 7 pm, Tri Church is honored to host the 80 member Nordic Choir of Luther College at St. Paul in Sterling. Two vocalists in the choir, Evan Lobdell and Collin Zollinger, are members of St. Paul, making this tour stop extra special. More detail, including food requests for serving the choir a meal prior to the concert and treats for the reception, will be coming in the January newsletter.
We are learning about the many needs of Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center (LOMC) near Oregon, IL. Tri Church is discussing ways to help with this vital camp ministry. Stay tuned!
The next meeting of Tri Church is a Christmas party on Tuesday, December 11th at 6:00 pm at the home of Carla Haubrich in Sterling. You are welcome to join us as we enjoy food and fellowship and celebrate the opportunity to joyfully minister together.
