Word from the Pastor

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.  Eph 4:4-6 (NRSV)

Through Jesus Christ we are one body; each with an important role.  We are unified in one Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism and one God!  Throughout accidents, diseases, natural and human made disasters, a pandemic, civil unrest and elections we are one in Christ. In Christ there is no “us” and “them.”  Regardless of election outcomes or different views on the pandemic or any division, we really are woven together in the mystical body of Christ.

We are loved, forgiven, always being made new, ushered into eternal life and a part of the body of Christ!  You are baptized into Christ!  You have been sealed by the Holy Spirit and marked with the cross of Christ forever.  May we enjoy it and live it!

We are to lean into the gifts of baptism; and daily strive to keep our baptismal promises which are a gift of God.  In baptism, we commit to living among God’s faithful people, hearing the word of God & sharing in the Lord’s supper, proclaiming the good news of God in Christ through word & deed, serving all people—following the example of

Jesus, and striving for justice and peace in all the earth.  May God give us the courage to live out our baptismal promises daily fueled by the Spirit.  God is above all, through all and in all!  May our lives reflect it!
