Call Committee Update
The Call Committee has held several meetings during the months of May and June to work on Immanuel’s Ministry Site Profile. The profile requests information about characteristics of Immanuel and the surrounding community, our purpose, gifts and mission, plus asks about our leadership needs and expectations of a new pastor. This 10 page document and an additional Seven Reflections questionnaire will be ready for Council review at their July meeting. Following Council approval, the profile will be reviewed by the Northern Illinois Synod prior to being shared with candidates.
Members of the call committee are Matthew Hicks, Dan Gordon, Dave DeVries, Natalie Ramos, Lori Attig, Sue Dirks, Jane Johnson, Geoff Wright and Deb Keaschall. Immanuel’s Constitution states the call committee shall consist of four Council members and four members appointed by the Council. A high school youth was added as their feedback is important to Immanuel’s ministry and future.
