Council Corner:
As part of our discussion during congregational forums, council retreat, and call committee meetings, we as a congregation identified VBS and youth programing as one of our essential assets and key ministries here at Immanuel. VBS provides both a ministry to the children of our congregation and to the children of the surrounding neighborhood. God’s mission is to share love in a troubled world. Ministry through our VBS program shares God’s love and tells the story of Jesus Christ.
This year, we are exploring new opportunities to provide ministry through our VBS program. We will be providing more information on the event details over the next month. We are currently looking for volunteers to help plan, organize, and work our VBS event. Volunteers are what make VBS such a great success each year. If you are able to help please let Jill or myself know.
