Emily Lego, daughter of Amy & Joel Lego.My name is Emily Lego. I attend Rock Falls High School and I am in the 9th grade. I live with my parents and two older siblings. I like to play volleyball, basketball, and softball. I believe if you put the time and effort into what you love to do, you will succeed in it. I wonder how people know God is really here. Do they sense God or can they feel God reach for them. I hope that next year’s Confirmation class grows as close to God as I did through the Retreats and Confirmation Class. I think that nothing is impossible as long as you try. I am thankful for my family and friends. I feel close to God when I am down or have a bad day or even when I am having a good day. So how does knowing God loves me shape my life? It motivates me to keep doing what I love and to push through the bad times because God will help you through it. I live out my faith by going to church, praying, and participating in church events. My Confirmation Bible verse is Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD you God will be with you wherever you go.” If I could meet and visit with any person in the Bible it would be Adam and Eve. I want to know what it was like to have to figure out how the world works with only one other person with you. One confirmation memory that still brings me a smile is Scott when he would encourage us by throwing the ball while we were making Bible skits.
