Congratulations Graduates!

Students completing 8th grade and transitioning to High School:

Jonathan Adams, child of Brittany Adams, grandchild of Roger & Brenda Adams, is being promoted from Rock Falls Middle School to Rock Falls High School. Jon gives thanks for “All who have helped me become who I am today.”

Carson Michlig, child of Marty Michlig & Wendy Michlig, is being promoted from Bureau Valley Jr. High to Bureau Valley High School. Carson gives thanks for “My family.”

Mya Nanninga, grandchild of Jack and Gail Renner, is being promoted from Challand Middle School to Sterling High School. Mya gives thanks for “All the teachers and support from everyone.”

Autumn Roth, child of Keegan and April Roth, is being promoted from Bureau Valley Jr. High to Bureau Valley High School. Autumn gives thanks for “My super supportive family.”

Breckon Allan Sandrock, child of Luke and Ashleigh Sandrock, is being promoted from Prophetstown Middle School to Prophetstown High School. Breckon gives thanks for: “God, friends and family, fishing and baseball.”

Ace Wetzell, child of Mallory & Kevin Wetzell, is being promoted from Prophetstown Middle School to Prophetstown High School. Ace gives thanks for “Sports that I enjoy playing.”

High School Graduates:

Eli Attig, child of Scott and Lori Attig, graduate of Bureau Valley High School. One Immanuel memory: “Ziplining at LOMC.” Next fall: “I will be in College. I am thankful for family. Before I croak (which will hopefully be 100 years from now), I hope to go out of country.“

Natalie Buck, child of Bob (1967 – 2022) & Christy Buck, graduate of Rock Falls High School.

Addisyn Castaneda, child of Liz Knebel, graduate of Rock Falls High School. One Immanuel memory: “Growing up with my brother & cousins in church!” Next fall I will be “Attending Educators of Beauty Rockford to get my license in Esthetics. I am thankful for my entire family and friends for supporting me.” Before I croak (which will hopefully be 100 years from now), I hope to “have fulfilled everything i wish to and be happy leaving!”

Callie Sue Michlig, child of Marty Michlig & Wendy Michlig, graduate of Bureau Valley High School. One Immanuel memory: “Being baptized here at Immanuel.” Next fall I will be “Attending Sauk Valley Community College. I am thankful for my family. Before I croak (which will hopefully be 100 years from now), I hope to “Be successful at my career & travel.”

Sophia Celeste Moeller, child of Shay and Natalie Moeller, graduate of Rock Falls High School. One Immanuel memory: “LOMC – being with my mom and cousin Addisyn! Next fall I will be at Ursuline College playing volleyball and studying to become a Nurse! I am thankful for my family.” Before I croak (which will hopefully be 100 years from now), I hope to “Travel the world.”

Rebecca Rodriguez, child of Rachel Magana and Edwardo Rodriguez, graduate of Sterling High School. Immanuel memory: “My first communion.” Next fall I will be “In cosmetology school. I am thankful for “My family and friends and everyone who has supported me in my decisions and helped guide me.” Before I croak (which will hopefully be 100 years from now), I hope to “travel.”

Maggie Raeann Rowzee, child of Tom and Cheryl Rowzee, graduate of Sterling High School. One Immanuel memory: “When I participated in UNITE and we painted a house in my neighborhood.” Next fall I will be “Attending Sauk Valley Community College.” I am thankful for “the love and support of my family and friends.” Before I croak (which will hopefully be 100 years from now), I hope to “visit different countries.”

Post-Secondary Graduates:

Branden Gordon, of Dan & Lisa Gordon, earned his Associate in Applied Science Degree – Multicraft Technology from Sauk Valley Community College. Branden plans to “Begin my career as a maintenance technician.”

Taylor Johnson earned her Associate in Arts Degree from Sauk Valley Community College. She will be transferring to Western Illinois University in the fall.

Elise Josephine Moeller of Shay & Natalie Moeller, earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree—Psychology, Cum Laude- Scholar Athlete, The National Society of Leadership & Success, from Youngstown State University, in Youngstown, Ohio. She has already begun studies in the Florida Gulf Coast University Occupational Therapy Graduate Program, in Fort Myers Florida. Elise plans to become an Occupational Therapist. “I hope to successfully
complete Grad School and positively impact the lives of others & hope that
inspires others to do the same.”

Meg Morgan of Mark & Jennifer Morgan, earned her Associate in Arts Degree – Communications from Sauk Valley Community College. Meg will be transferring to Western Illinois University to further her studies.

Natalie Ramos, of Monique Castillo & Leon Ramos, earned her Master of Arts Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Elmhurst University. Natalie plans to move to/settle in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois.

April Roth earned her Master of Arts Degree in Teaching from Western Illinois University. April is a part of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and is teaching at Bureau Valley High School.

Tess Schaefer, of Martin and Kelly Schaefer, earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Future plans: “I will be complete a one-year shelter & community medicine internship thru the Animal Humane Society of the Twin Cities, MN.”

Sloan Schutz, of Shane & Shannon Schutz, earned his Associate in Applied Science Degree – Agriculture from Blackhawk College. Future plans: “to continue farming and do well at it.”
