On Thursday, August 18th, WELCA women hosted their annual luncheon and Bible study for 13 area churches. Were 40 ladies in attendance. Interim Pastor Sauter led the Bible Study “The Ministry of Reconciliation” 2 Corinthians 5:17-19. A free will offering of $190.00 was taken and sent to the Katie’s Fund. Through Katie’s Fund, women of the ELCA honor her life by supporting global connections, leadership development and living theology
Mission Action Sewing ladies will be meeting on Wednesdays, September 14th and September 28th at 8:30 a.m. Please join m at 8:30 a.m. until noon or part of the morning. It is a time of fellowship in preparing quilts and lap robes for those in need and much appreciated.
On September 20th, our WELCA group will participate in “WELCA On The Road” as we travel to Walnut Heritage Health for our meeting and Bible study. Joan Tuft will lead our study “When God’s Not Fair – Coming to With a Merciful God”. All of Immanuel are invited to come along on September 20th as we carpool to Walnut. There is a sign up sheet in the Narthex, we will leave the church at 8:30 a.m.
