This is our fifth year of the “NO BAKE SWEETE SHOPPE”. Hang up those aprons, leave the baking pans and supplies in your cupboards and give to this special giving event. There will be envelopes in the pews during the month of July (there are 5 Sundays in July) which you can use to contribute locally such as Good Neighbor, Salvation Army, PADS Homeless Shelter, Caring Center and etc.
Mission Action Sewing ladies will be meeting on Wednesday, July 12th and July 26th at 8:30 a.m. Please join them at 8:30 a.m. until noon or part of the morning. It is a time of fellowship in preparing quilts and lap robes for those in need and much appreciated. There are many tasks to be done that do not require actual sewing. All quilts are given locally as there is a great need in our area. The ladies also remember Immanuel high school graduates, new brides of Immanuel and baby quilts for new babies as they are baptized at Immanuel.
Next combined circle meeting will be on July 18th at 9:00 a.m. with Mary Circle, hostess. Pastor Bree will present the Bible study – “Stand With the Least of These”. Join the discussion by asking yourself whose corner are you being called to stand? The Scripture for this study comes from the book of Micah, the first chapter, verses 1-2a. Why do you think God chose a nobody like Micah to deliver this message to the privileged and the powerful? All women of Immanuel are members of WELCA and encouraged to attend.
