Our confirmation students have been studying the Lord’s Prayer. As a part of their work, they were challenged to paraphrase the Lord’s Prayer in their own words. Eli Attig wrote:
God above, Divine by name, whose Kingdom is present.
Let us be servants, here and above.
Provide the necessities.
Bless us while we bless our enemies.
Drive us from bad things and shield us from the devil.
This is your kingdom with all its might ever after. Amen.
