Sunday, May 7th was a glorious day in the life of Immanuel. It began with a hearty breakfast and fellowship allowing pastoral candidate Bree Truax an opportunity to meet many members. Worship followed with Bree participating in the liturgy and leading the children’s sermon. After worship at the special congregational meeting, the vote was unanimous to issue a Letter of Call to Bree.
Bree will begin serving alongside Immanuel on June 1st. She will be ordained on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church in Camas, Washington by Bishop Jeffrey Clements of the Northern Illinois Synod. Bree’s installation date at Immanuel, which follows ordination, is yet to be determined.
Thanks to all for your prayers, support and patience during the call process. Please join the call committee in welcoming Bree to Immanuel! Her reaction after announcing the vote was one of great joy and delight! Praise God!
