Much was in the works for the April 29th Bouquets of Hope fundraising event – the menu planned, sign-up sheets ready for the churches, entertainment lined up, centerpieces made, and several auction items collected. While the pandemic changed these plans, the generosity of our community did not change. For this, Tri Church is extremely grateful!
The goal to purchase a generator for Rock River Hospice & Home was exceeded! Thrivent members designated $11,815 in Choice Dollars to the project. Donations from the community earmarked for the generator, the online auction in June, and other cash gifts contributed an additional $11,000. With the $5,000 matching funds from Arthur’s Garden Deli, nearly $28,000 was raised! Tri Church extends a heartfelt thank you to the Sauk Valley community for their generosity and support of such a worthy project for Rock River Hospice & Home.
To our Tri Church members, thank you for your donations to the auction and to those who purchased auction items. While most of the buyers were local, there were a few from the Chicago area. In addition, thank you to Sue Dirks at St. Paul for serving as bid coordinator and to Kyle Morgan and Andrew Stutzke of St. John’s for their technical skills in assembling the Tri Church website.
Thanks be to God for the Tri Church collaboration – indeed, God’s Work Our Hands! Thanks be to God for Rock River Hospice & Home for their compassionate care of our family members, church members and neighbors.
