Friday – Sunday, October 20-22 at LOMC (Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center). Due to congregational support, this incredible faith-building event cost is reduced to $40! In addition, you can zipline for an additional $10! LOMC has the longest single stretch zip line in the Midwest! All 7th-12th graders are welcome! Jr. High (7-8th) confirmation students are expected to attend this or next year’s fall retreat.
We will meet at St. Paul at 6:00 pm on Friday, Oct. 20, and carpool to LOMC in Oregon and return to St. Paul on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 11:45 am. This event is open to all 7th – 12th grade students from St. Paul, Immanuel, and St. John’s and friends. Parents, we need help from you as drivers and co-counselors. Please contact Pastor Bree or Gerad if you can attend and/or drive and to make sure you have the appropriate youth safety training and forms completed. This event is planned in cooperation with the CommUNITY VBS congregations in Sterling: St. Paul, St. John’s Lutheran, Grace Episcopal, First Presbyterian, Bethel Reformed and First Christian Churches, who are also invited. At the retreat expect deepen your faith in God, enjoy God’s beautiful creation, canoeing on the pond (weather permitting), hiking, the low ropes course, bonding with new and old friends, worship, and so much more!
