Mendota Lutheran Home is Closing

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

After 67 years of service to the community and surrounding areas, Mendota Lutheran Home is closing.  Due to continued decline in census, an aging facility, increased debt load and inability to continue to meet payroll obligations, continuing to operate  Mendota Lutheran Home is no longer viable.  But most importantly, it is in the best interest of the residents of the home that we act now before matters potentially get even worse.

There will not be an annual meeting.  Again, I regret to have to share this news with you.  My heart is saddened that there was not a way to turn things around.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Jeff Schlesinger, Acting President, MLH Board

Immanuel is one of the Mendota Lutheran Home corporate congregations.  Thanks for over six decades of support for Mendota Lutheran Home!
