Thank you For supporting the National Youth Gathering (NYG) Team! Jonas Hicks, Meg Morgan, Salvidor Ramos, Molly Hackbarth, Isaac Attig, Ben Roth, Kathryn Rowzee, Natalie Ramos, Matthew Hicks, Stacey Hackbarth, Jennifer Morgan and Monique Castillo are excited to be able to attend the ELCA National Youth Gathering (NYG) in Houston, Texas June 27 – July 1 (travel dates June 26 & July 2).
The National Youth Gathering theme is “This Changes Everything”, and the primary scripture is Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” The NYG includes days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship. Young people and adults will pray and grow in faith, while being challenged and inspired to live out faith in daily life.
Salvidor, Natalie and Monique will participate in the Multicultural Youth Leadership Event (MYLE) which is a pre-event to the Gathering. The MYLE empowers young people of color and those whose primary language is other than English to claim their story as a part of God’s story.
Please pray for our team daily June 26 – July 2 as they journey in faith to the MYLE and National Youth Gathering!
