Tri Church Hosting Nordic Choir

St. Paul in Sterling will be the host church for the Luther College Nordic Choir performing on February 1, 2019 at 7 pm.   Two of the 80-member choir, Collin Zollinger and Evan Lobdell, are from Sterling and members of St. Paul.

Tri Church has made arrangements for the choir members to stay at the Country Inn & Suites in Rock Falls thanks to a very generous donor.  Tri Church will be providing a meal prior to the concert.  Immanuel is assigned to provide the vegetable dishes and dinner rolls/butter, plus cookies and bars for the post-concert reception.  Immanuel will also seek donations of bottled water, sugar free gum, and small packages of red Twizzlers or Red Vines (from the Dollar Tree) for the “goodie bags” for each choir member.  A few volunteers will be needed for set-up the afternoon of the concert and for tear down post event.  Please watch for sign-up sheets in early January and thank you in advance for your help.  In addition the “Noisy Offering” for January will support this event.  All proceeds will be divided between LOMC and UNITE Service Camp.

While Tri Church is hosting the concert, Pine Creek Christian Church of Polo is paying the $4,000 fee for the concert.  This is a wonderful ecumenical collaboration.  Thanks be to God!

Please join us on February 1 to support and enjoy these very talented vocalists.  A free will offering will be received that evening for UNITE Service Camp and LOMC (Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center).

If you would like to be a part of the Tri Church leadership team you are most welcome at our next meeting on Monday, January 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Self Help in Sterling.

Thank you for your on-going partnership in the gospel.

Deb Keaschall, Tri Church Representative
